They can't replicate the structure that comes from waiting.

Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush to lift dust before it settles into the grain. Condition every couple of months with a neutral leather cream — work it in with a cloth, leave it ten minutes, then buff dry. Use shoe trees overnight to draw moisture and hold shape.
