The strips are narrow enough that the weave reads as texture from a few feet away, and as construction up close. Hand-welted with a stitched leather sole. Padded leather insole for closed-shoe comfort. Stacked leather heel with a thin rubber pad at the heel breast. Made in our Pune atelier. The weaving alone takes a full working day before the rest of the shoe begins. Twenty-five days total from cutting to final polish.

Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush, working gently into the weave to lift dust. Condition every two months with a neutral leather cream applied sparingly — heavy wax pools in the gaps.
