Story

The Andrew is a hand-woven black loafer — one of the most labour-intensive pieces in the line.

The vamp is built from individual strips of full-grain leather, woven by hand in a tight basket pattern. No two pairs are identical. The weave gives the shoe its texture and its breathability — it's a warm-weather loafer that doesn't behave like one.

Underneath, the construction is conventional: hand-welted, leather-soled, built on a classic last. The contrast between intricate vamp and clean architecture is the point.

These are handcrafted leather shoes meant for men who notice how things are made.

Craft
Full-grain calfskin upper, hand-woven across the vamp. Each strip is cut to width, edge-finished, and threaded through the next by hand — a single pair takes a full day of weaving alone before the rest of the shoe begins. Hand-welted construction with a stitched leather sole. Cushioned leather insole, stacked leather heel. The shoe is built to be re-soled when the time comes. Made in Pune. The weave pattern has been in our workshop for years — the older men teach it to the newer ones; it doesn't exist on a machine anywhere in the building.
Care & Delivery
Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush, working into the weave gently to lift dust without snagging strips. Condition every two months with a neutral leather cream, applied sparingly with a cloth. Avoid heavy waxes — they pool in the gaps. Use shoe trees overnight. If a strip lifts at the edge, a small dab of leather glue and a few hours under pressure will hold it. Delivery Made to order. Twenty-five days from confirmation to dispatch.
