Full-grain calfskin upper, vegetable-tanned over weeks rather than chemically treated overnight. The leather has structure when new and softens slowly into the shape of the foot wearing it. Goodyear-welted construction — the upper, insole, and welt stitched together so the shoe can be re-soled without compromising the body. Twin buckles in solid brass, hand-aged to a warm, lived-in finish. Stacked leather heel with a small rubber pad for grip. Made in our atelier in Pune by craftsmen who've spent ten, twenty, thirty years working with leather. Each pair takes twenty-five days from cutting to final finishing. Most of that time is the leather resting between stages — patience that machines can't replicate.

Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush — this lifts dust before it sets into the grain. Condition every couple of months with a neutral leather cream, worked in with a cloth and buffed dry. Use shoe trees overnight to draw out moisture and hold the shape. Keep them out of direct sun and away from heat sources. The leather is alive — it does best when looked after the way you'd look after a good jacket. Delivery Made to order.
