Full-grain chocolate-brown leather across both straps, vegetable-tanned and hand-finished. Each strap is single-piece — no joins along the foot. Antique-finished brass buckles in brushed gold-bronze, screw-fitted to leather backings so they can be replaced. Both buckles are functional — the fit adjusts at the instep and the forefoot independently. Footbed wrapped in soft black napa leather rather than suede or rubber — napa wipes clean, doesn't trap dust at the heel, and holds finish through summer humidity. Anatomically contoured with arch support, layered over a cork-built midsole that's lighter than leather and naturally cushioning. The cork compresses slightly to the shape of the foot over the first week of wear. Made in our Pune workshop.
