Grade-A full-grain imported calf leather upper — soft-tempered, with a fine, tight grain that takes polish deeply and creases cleanly rather than cracking. Dyed black through the hide, not surface-finished, so scuffs buff out rather than show pale. Punch-cap brogueing hand-stamped across the toe, each hole set individually. Twin leather tassels, hand-rolled and knotted, stitched to the vamp rather than glued. Stitched leather sole, stacked leather heel. Built on the same sharp, elongated last as the Ascot — tapered and narrow through the toe. Made in our Pune workshop. A black tassel loafer hides nothing: the leather, the stitching, and the proportions carry the whole shoe, which is exactly why the material had to be Grade-A.

Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush. Condition every two months with a black or neutral leather cream — work it in with a cloth, leave it ten minutes, buff dry. Polish with black wax for depth before formal occasions. Brush the tassels gently by hand; don't soak them in cream. Use shoe trees overnight — the narrow last holds its line better for it.
