Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush, working gently into the weave to lift dust without pulling at the straps. Condition every couple of months with a neutral leather cream applied with the fingers — fingers reach into the gaps; cloth doesn't. Avoid water; if caught in rain, dry slowly at room temperature, never with heat. Wipe the black footbed with a slightly damp cloth as needed. Store flat. Full-grain heritage-brown leather upper, vegetable-tanned and hand-finished — the colour will deepen with wear and develop a patina specific to the foot wearing it. Each strap is cut to width by hand, edge-finished, and woven across the vamp in a tight caged pattern. The weave isn't decorative — it's structural; the straps hold tension across the foot through the weave itself, not through stitching. Fully lined with soft, supple leather — no synthetic against the foot. The footbed is wrapped in matte midnight-black leather, contoured slightly to the shape of the foot. All-leather sole underneath, edge-finished and hand-burnished. Made in our Pune workshop. The weave is one of the older techniques in the workshop — taught between hands, not from a manual. A single pair takes the better part of a day to weave before the rest of the slider begins.
