The penny strap is hand-stitched and shaped, not flat-cut, with the slot fully formed. Goodyear-welted construction with a stitched leather sole and a stacked leather heel. Padded leather insole. A Goodyear-welted loafer is heavier than a Blake-stitched one and lasts considerably longer; it can be re-soled multiple times across its life. Built in our Pune workshop. Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush. Condition every two months with a neutral or brown-tinted leather cream. Polish with a matching wax for depth — the burnishing at the toe lives in the wax. Use shoe trees overnight to hold the loafer's shape (loafers lose shape faster than laced shoes if untreed).
