Story

The Quinn is a brown side-paneled double monk — a contemporary cut on the classic monk silhouette.

Full-grain leather upper, twin solid-brass buckles, side-paneled vamp construction (the buckles sit on a separate side panel rather than directly on the vamp). The result is sharper than a traditional double monk; the silhouette reads more architectural.

Goodyear-welted leather sole. These are men's leather monk straps for men who want the format updated rather than preserved.

Made in our Pune atelier.

Craft
Full-grain calfskin upper, vegetable-tanned and dyed brown. The side-paneled construction means the buckles are stitched onto a separate quarter panel rather than directly to the vamp — it's a different cut pattern than the traditional monk. Twin solid brass buckles, hand-aged. Goodyear-welted construction with a stitched leather sole and a stacked leather heel. Padded leather insole. The shoe can be re-soled. Built in our Pune workshop. The side-panel pattern is more demanding to cut than the traditional monk — the side panels have to align with the vamp seam without distortion.
Care & Delivery
Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush. Condition every two months with a brown or neutral leather cream worked in with a cloth, then buffed dry. Polish with a matching wax for depth. Keep the buckles clean with a dry cloth; avoid metal polish, which will strip the patina. Use shoe trees overnight. Delivery Made to order. Twenty-five days from confirmation to dispatch.
