Story

The Remi is a single-monk patina shoe — Goodyear-welted, hand-painted finish.

Cow crust leather upper (un-dyed at the tannery), hand-painted patina built up in stages: base coat, mid-tone, deeper accent at the toe and heel, sealing wax. Single brass buckle. Each pair reads slightly different.

These are men's leather monk straps for occasions where standard formal isn't quite enough. Goodyear-welted leather sole. Made in our Pune atelier.

Craft
Top-grain cow crust leather upper — un-dyed at the tannery so the patina can be built from scratch in our workshop. Single-monk silhouette, almond toe, no brogueing. Hand-painted patina applied in stages by a single craftsman, pair by pair. Goodyear-welted construction with a stitched leather sole and a stacked leather heel. Padded leather insole. Solid brass buckle, hand-aged. Built in our Pune workshop. Hand-painted shoes age more visibly than dyed shoes — this is the point, not a flaw.
Care & Delivery
Care Brush after wear with a soft horsehair brush. Condition with a neutral leather cream only — tinted creams will distort the layered patina. Polish with a clear wax for shine. Avoid heavy rain — water can lift hand-painted finish in the first months. Use shoe trees overnight. The patina will continue to develop with wear. Delivery Made to order.
